Silencio is the name of a new Parisian nightclub whose interiors were designed by zany polymath and David Lynch. The design of  the club is inspired by a nightclub featured in a film of Lynch. In this club creative people can meet, watch movies, performances and concerts.

When you are entering the club you must descend the six flights of stairs to Silencio before you realize a transformation is afoot. Once you are inside, you can browse in the art library and smoke in the ‘dream forest’ while standing at the ‘Buddhist cocktail bars with their own bijoux cinemas’. This place is enchanting, one minute you are in the dark, the next you are in a golden tunnel of mini-mandalas.

Lynch said: ”Silencio is something dear to me. I wanted to create an intimate space where all the arts could come together. There won’t be a Warhol-like guru, but it will be open to celebrated artists of all disciplines to come here to programme or create what they want.”
