El kombo

El Kombo cookes nice Mexican food, they designed a cool package with a concept and shipped it to hungry people in Copenhagen with the delivery company Roomservice for a week. El kombo is not an usual delivery service. They related everything in the box to their concept, that’s what makes it very interesting. The main reason of their packages was that they wanted to bring their customers an experience. The five core values of their concept were: delicious, humour, interaction, suprise and it had to be visually attractive.

I will now give you a description of the box. On the top of the box there was a syringe filled with green Jalapenos oil. You had to push the oil into the meal before seeing it. On the box you can see the terms bo wich means moderado and lasse wich means intenso. The second thing you have to do is to pull a string. Pulling the string created a little explosion inside the box. This ‘bang’ is related to the fact that Mexicans shoot up in the air before they eat. Now it’s time to open the box. The meal was ready to eat. Inside the box you found a intese chicken mole that was stored in a can. You could also see three garnishes: fresh salsa in the red capsicum, limejuice to squeeze and a rolled up corn-tortilla. You could also find a fresh corona and banana bread in the bottom of the box.

I think this concept will work very well because they integrate storytelling, wich is an important thing. They also related al the things back to their concept. And of course this concept is related to experience economy.
